Configure and use Shipit SEO
Set up the publisher, edit search and social previews, and choose indexing settings.

Set up your website and business
Open Local SEO and choose Edit website. Enter the website name and production URL, then choose Save website settings. Return to business identity to configure the publisher.
Choose Person, Organization or Local business in Identity. For a local business, complete Contact, Social, Address and area, and Location and hours. Enter the real business details and opening times, then use Review and save. Website settings and publisher details save separately.
Edit a page and its sharing preview
Use Search & social for a fallback sharing image and optional X @handle. Open Templates for content-type defaults. An entry can override those defaults.
Open a saved page or post and add its focus keywords in Advanced SEO. Choose Edit snippet, edit the title and description, then choose Save SEO fields. Leaving a field blank uses its fallback.
Open Social to edit the sharing title and description, then choose Save social text. Choose or replace the Sharing image and use Save SEO fields for that image. Clear custom image reveals the featured image or site fallback without deleting the asset.
Choose what appears in search
- Open Indexing > Indexing rules. Choose Site-wide Index or Noindex, then save. Check the saved state rather than the unsaved After saving line.
- A site-wide Noindex overrides the content-type and taxonomy choices. Index removes Shipit's restriction; an entry or another part of the site can still be noindex.
- Content-type Noindex also excludes that type from Shipit sitemaps. Taxonomy rules affect bound archive pages, not the posts assigned to them. Noindex is not password protection.
- Check which route or file serves sitemap.xml, robots.txt and llms.txt. A sitemap exclusion only removes a URL from the sitemap; it does not add noindex.
Turn on optional analysis when needed
Keywords, previews and browser checks work immediately. To store an assessment for one entry, save its profile in Analysis options, then open Saved analysis & history and choose Save analysis.
For automatic checks, history or bulk analysis, open Feature controls and enable saved-content analysis after reading the resource notice. Then choose a scope in Content health and select Start analysis; activation alone starts no scan.
Leave IndexNow delivery and automatic submission off during setup. Site verification fields save your codes, but you still complete verification with the relevant provider.
Save and check your changes
Save each form with its own button. Saving Website settings, social text, Indexing or a schema does not save the other forms or the content draft.
If a save reports a conflict or an unknown result, keep the draft and use the offered review or saved-value check. Compare the current values before saving again.
Finish or discard pending changes before reloading or switching entry, account or locale. Local workspace drafts are not a substitute for a confirmed save.
Check sitemaps and internal links
Open Sitemaps, choose a content type and sitemap file, then search or filter its URLs. Listed and Left out explain the saved settings for that file. Use 25 or 50 rows per page.
Open Crawl diagnostics > Content graph and choose Analyze sample. It reads up to 1,000 records across content types and checks links in published structured content. Use the displayed scope when interpreting a large site.
- The graph checks up to 20,000 links and retains up to 250 unresolved links and 250 possible unlinked entries. Search and filters work on those retained rows.
- Confirm a suspected broken or unlinked page on the site. Its incoming link may be in navigation, a custom template or content outside the sample.
- Choose Run rendered crawl to check the live pages: up to 100 pages and 10 sitemap documents per run. A new run repeats that scope; it does not continue through the whole site.
- Keep the crawl panel open while it runs. Leaving stops it, and its findings are not saved. These checks do not change content or submit URLs to a provider.
